Renewing a Licence
Licences for Manitoba pesticide applicators, pesticide dealers and manure applicators expire on December 31 every year. The licence renewal packages for currently licensed individuals are mailed out towards the end of October. The renewal packages will be mailed to the address currently on file with Manitoba Agriculture.
NOTE: Renewal of your licence(s) may be delayed if you do not submit all of the required documents.
Licence renewal package
This package consists of:
1. a notice of renewal with important instructions and information
2. a licence renewal form, coloured blue for applicators, green for dealers and orange for manure applicators (Do not keep this form for your reference)
3. a recertification notice, if applicant certification (pesticide core or any other category course) has expired
4. additional instructions and information
How to prepare your licence renewal application
If your certification is valid:
· Fill out the renewal forms you receive in the mail and ensure all pre-populated information on the form is correct.
· To update your form with new address or employer information, put a strike through the old address and employer name that is pre-populated on the form and write your new address on the form.
· If you have a new employer or new insurance provider, a new proof of insurance showing adequate coverage should accompany your application.
· If your address has changed and you do not provide an updated address, you may not receive your licence renewal package the following year.
· If your email address or phone number has changed, please update those as well.
· Include a $100 cheque addressed to the Minister of Finance. DO NOT send cheques separately. Your renewal package needs to be accompanied by a cheque.
If your certification has expired:
· Rewrite your courses or recertify using Continuing Education Credits (CEC) (required for the aerial and integrated pest management category only).
· Fill out the renewal forms you received in the mail and ensure all pre-populated information on the form is correct.
· Attach a copy of your Final Grade Report for updated courses, or the CEC re-certification issued by Assiniboine College. If your certification is from another province, attach a copy of transcripts or certificates from the authorized institution (e.g., a copy of a Statement of Achievement from Saskatchewan Polytechnic or a Certificate from Lakeland College, Alberta). Also, attach a copy of your licence if the certification is from a province that issues a licence.
