A vision statement conveys the agriculture or rural organization’s dream. It motivates the board, staff and volunteers to achieve greatness and helps to develop a picture of the organization’s desired future.

The vision statement serves as a foundation for all strategies developed and applied.

Suggested length: 10 to 25 words (short powerful statement)

      • Is it concise?
      • Is the meaning clear?
      • Can members of your organization remember it?

      • Use simple language that inspires.
