Integrated Watershed Management Planning
The purpose of Integrated Watershed Management Planning (IWMP) (PDF 229 KB) is to identify and document current watershed health, create a drinking source water protection plan, and provide a management plan for other local water-related issues.
The IWMP process is underway across the province and both Manitoba Sustainable Development and Water Planning Authority staff are involved in organizing submissions from federal, provincial (including Manitoba Agriculture) and non-government organizations. Manitoba Agriculture staff provide technical information on soil and agriculture topics.
More information on the status of IWMPs in Manitoba can be found here.
