Stewardship Plans

As outlined in The Waste Reduction and Prevention Act Regulations, stewards of designated products and materials in Manitoba must operate or subscribe to an approved stewardship program to manage the recycling and/or safe disposal of their products at end-of-life.

Any individual or organization who intends to operate a stewardship program must submit a program plan and apply to the Minister of Environment and Climate Change for approval of the plan.
