Camping
Manitoba’s provincial parks offer you the opportunity to be close to nature with your family and friends.
Our campgrounds are managed to ensure that everybody has a pleasant stay.
There are many different types of camping opportunities across Manitoba provincial parks. Come for a night or stay for a week. Create new memories with family and friends. Seasonal Camping
If you love camping in Manitoba’s provincial parks, you may be interested in seasonal camping. A select number of campgrounds offer seasonal campsites on a lottery basis for a seasonal fee. You have the opportunity to enjoy holidays throughout the summer with the convenience of the same site for the entire season.

Seasonal campsite applications can be completed and submitted online. To use the online portal, payments must be made using Visa or Mastercard. If you are using the online portal, do not send a hard copy of your request. (Seasonal Camping e-form ).
- Have a scan or image of your proof of registration with Manitoba Public Insurance (or equivalent) ready to attach/submit with your application (not required for tenters).
- The charge for your seasonal site application will appear as “MB GOV SD” or “MB GOV SUST DEV” on your statement.
- Please note that Manitoba Parks staff will not be able to confirm your application or check for details once submitted. Please ensure that all information entered is correct and valid.

Paper applications are included at the end of the Seasonal Campers’ Guide. Do not send a paper copy of the application if you have submitted an on-line application.
Application Deadline
All applications must be received by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2025. Applications received after this deadline will not be accepted.
Note:
- You may only apply for one campground. Do not submit an application for more than one location.
- Only one application per family is permitted.
- You must be a Manitoba Resident in order to participate in the Seasonal Camping draw. Out-of-province residents are welcome to apply for unallocated sites after the preliminary site selection has been completed.
- For a list of how many applications were received for each campground location in the 2024 Seasonal Camping draw check here .
- Applicants who are successful in the draw will be contacted by telephone during the time period outlined in the Seasonal Campers’ Guide. The process will vary by location and further details will be included in the notification letter. Please ensure that your application includes the phone number where you can be reached.
- Be prepared to indicate your selection in order of preference. Seasonal campground maps can be found below.

- By submitting an application, you agree to comply with the rules within the Seasonal Campers’ Guide, Conditions of Application and Site Selection.
Nightly
There are over 50 campgrounds spread throughout Manitoba’s provincial parks that offer camping on a nightly basis and many of them can be booked in advance through the Parks Reservation Service. There are a variety of experiences to suit your needs, from rustic backcountry campsites to large fully services campsites.
Cabins and Yurts
Comfort Camping is the easiest way to camp in Manitoba's provincial parks. No tent? No problem! There's no need to haul a trailer or drive an RV either. Instead, stay in the comfort of a cabin or the coziness of a yurt. Comfort Camping accommodations come fully furnished and ready to enjoy. Fall Camping

Group-Use Sites
Planning a family gathering, youth or school outing? Experience your special event in Manitoba's great outdoors. Choose from over 80 group use sites located across the province. Group use areas can accommodate multiple families or large numbers of people who want to camp or visit in close proximity to one another. Backcountry Camping
Backcountry camping offers a way to enjoy unique areas in provincial parks that visitors may otherwise never get a chance to experience. Manitoba Parks has three types of backcountry camping opportunities available (walk-in, water route and wilderness). These experiences range from relatively easy overnight adventures to multi-day (or week) treks.
