Outreach Programs
Education and Outreach Services is pleased to provide educational programming to members of the public about the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba and our Democratic processes. Our office hosts a number of pre-scheduled workshops that are open for anyone to register to attend. We are also pleased to provide customized programming for organizations, businesses, and community groups as requested. These programs can be tailored to provide the most relevant information to your group as possible. Program Schedule:
November 16, 2023 5:00-6:00 p.m. “Legislative Assembly 101” in house learning session.- This 60-minute learning session will be held at the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, and will cover the basics of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba: Who works within it, their roles, and the lawmaking process.
March 21, 2024 5:00-6:00 p.m. “The Budget Process” in house learning session.
- This 60-minute learning session will be held at the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, and will delve into how the budget goes through the House, from introduction to passing.
March 25-29, 2024 12:00-2:00 p.m. “Spring Break Programming”
- We invite day camps and community groups to spend an afternoon at the Legislative building with us to learn about how the Legislative Assembly works, and to see our historic building up close through a tour and interactive activities.
Fridays in July and August 12:00-2:00 p.m. “Summer Fun Fridays”
Bring your kids to the Legislative Building for a fun-filled Friday! You’ll get a tour of the historic building, and participate in interactive learning activities in our Classroom in the Legislature.| Education and Outreach Services |
